FollowSorting by Key and Artist HELP!
Ok so I used to buy all my music in 320kbps from beatport. Beatport was nice enough to let me pay the difference and re download my music in Wav. format. I analysed all my music in Mixed in Key and dropped it into Rekord box. My problem is Rekord Box is not picking up the artist or the key. It is just picking up the track and bpm. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix it so it sorts correctly and shows the key and the artist?

Isnt there a program or something I can buy so it does?
It's best to convert all your WAV tunes to AIFF's. Tagging AIFF's are no problem and can be read by Rekordbox and iTunes (if you use it). I know it's a hassle to re-analyze and re-tag everything but believe me, it's worth it. Once done you won't ever have to do it again :)
Is there a way I can covert and tag all at once?
So I went into Itunes and converted them all to Aiff files. I put all the aiff files into rekordbox and the files still just puts everything under the title. Still not artist name still no key still no alum or genre
@ Pulse, What should I do?
Okay, I'm sorry, but you have to forgive me when I say this thread gave me a laugh reading it while I was out today. :)
Yes you can convert your WAVs to AIFF, but that does nothing for chopping the filename and putting it into the tags. You will need to either run a tagging software capable of running a process to take the filename and using that data for the artist and track information. You would then take that AIFF and run it through MIK for the key tags, then import it to rekordbox -- that would then have all the info you're looking for.
@ Pulse you have always gave me an anwser that has worked ha ha. MIK will not tag AIFF as of now but will in the future. What software can I use to do the tagging?
How do people orginize Wav and Aiff when it is so freaking hard?
It can handle AIFFs, it just can't tag them... but it can write to the filename. In that case, run it through MIK before doing the filename-to-meta process.
Your right it puts the key in the file name but wont tage. What should I use to rename the files?
Not rename the files, but rather pull the tags from the filename itself. On PC you can use a program like Tag & Rename (my choice) or MP3Tag.
