What do you you do when you run out of room on a Harddrive with RB?

Ok, I have a solid state drive that isn't very large... What are my options when wav files fill up the drive? I realize now I should have put RB on my other drive (I have 2 HD in my laptop and the other is a lot larger as it isn't a SSD). But to the point, I can't change the drive letter Windows 7 is installed on meaning if I move RB to the D drive from the C drive I am screwed,

So what does Pioneer say? Maybe I am overlooking something? Is there an easy way around running out of room on a HD  that RB  is installed on? I really have 0 faith in migrating to another computer only because I reformated my old computer so I could have it named just like my new computer, beats were still off in the grid and I had to show RB where the files were located... Maybe I overlooked something but...

Point is what happens when I run out of HD room that RB is installed on?

I guess, I could save all my new music in a folder on the other Hard Drive and import from that new folder. I just will have 2 folders with my music. I can't however move music in MY MUSIC from C to D correct? RB isn't smart enough? But a new folder with new music on another drive is ok?

When will there be a patch/fix? In todays world, with how smart tecnology is why is RB so limited? Or is it, am I just not understanding? WHen people pull from Itunes and lets say decide to move their music from Itunes to their computer and close their itunes account or whatever... do they also have to redo everything?

as a general comment I don't understand why it isn't possible to move an entire database from C:\path to D:\path, or similarly, from C:\folder_1 to C:\folder_2 ?

It is just a string to change in the RB index... Re-locating files one by one is the most cumbersome, inflexible solution they could have come up with.

It should be possible to relocate files by batches - as long as they have, e.g., similar names and size the software should be able to find them in a new subfolder if provided with basic information from the user.

Agree. If all the files stayy the same name (Duran_Duran-Girls_On_on_film) C:/Users/Smith/Music I would just be happy if I could change one option in that to D:/Users/Smith/Music as long as it know my operating system isn't on D but just an open drive. Seems like a simple program to create that would or could make this change... Even if RB stayed on C drive and all I did was move the folder with Music in it to the D drive. But I guess you can, what I really want is for the analyizing part not to get messed up. I think the cuse and all stay the same... Something simple, RB asks: Do you want to relocate MY MUSIC from C drive to D drive? YES OR NO? Hit YES and presto it's done. Now all my music is on D drive, nothing got out of whack or messed up and I don't need to copy/paste/stand on head/ not copy this file/ paste other folder here/spin around 2 times and cross my fingers it worked.

Better yet... why not make a clone or copy of sorts? Would you like to clone Rekordbox and all saved information from C drive to D drive? YES and presto you now have a clone of RB and everything on D drive and can now actually delete RB from C drive, replace the C drive or even reformat because it is now saved on the D drive or USB stick and can be moved to another computer or stored on a USB until your new harddrive is insatlled or whatever maybe the case.

Pioneer, don't get me wrong. I just want to see RB become more user friendly and have all the bells and whistles from something simple to something that is a must! Users of RB shouldn't have to jump through hoops to do things that a well-paid Engineer could implement into RB. Not just talking about what I said above but for all the things people come on here wanting RB to do. I KNOW Pioneer is ALWAYS working on making RB better, I hope some things are being worked on quicker than others but I am sure all have some importance.

Maybe it would work to edit EDB database file in a program and replace D: to E:.

Just do not know with which program, but I will try if it works.

Anyone know any good programs that can work for EDB database files?

Maybe Pioneer could make an external program for this, or add it to the RB.
