RB just closes while the track is playing or are you doing something when it crashes like scrolling through tracks, searching, loading, etc....?

Provide as much detail of the issue here:
Well I have previously talked about my struggles but after seeing that many people had similar issues I thought it was a known problem that I just have to deal with. However after speaking to a few friends who are also RB users they concur that my situation is unacceptable...
When using the link to my CDJs I a crash of Rekordbox mid gig (almost every gig), giving my 15 seconds or so to switch to a new track on the backup USB (I have to always plug in because it always crashes).
I have the wireless network turned off, and have set ethernet to priority on the networking preferences. I also don't run any programs in the background, no wifi, no bluetooth.
At the moment for me I find the system so unstable I'm unable to go to the toilet quickly without playing a track from the backup USB.
Happy to send in my crash reports or even pop in to the UK offices (as they are round the corner from me) Anyway hope you guys can help as its getting a real downer on this top bit of kit!

Combination of both
I guess to help them out even more
How many files are in RB?
are they mostly MP3's, WAV, AIFF or AAC?
A trick I found to keep the connection stable is to set a static IP in your network settings also, Not sure if this will help with crashes but every little bit helps. If you dont use your ethernet port for anything but RB, then setting a static is a good idea that way the laptop or switch doesnt try and re-find an address (being that the port dhcp's to a 169) in the middle of a gig
again, not sure if any of that would help you issue but you never know at this point
also, 2.0.2 has issues with crashing and they have re-posted 2.0.1 if you are interested
I've got about 5600 songs, mostly in MP3 format, of which about 25% are 128kbps, about 50% are 198kbps and the rest at 256 or higher. I do have a couple of older tracks at 80kbps but would be less than 100kbps.
How do I set my IP to be static? Will this effect my wifi based connections?
I've also had a bit of advice to scan and repair my permissions and disks, which both had errors and have now been repaired.

plug in the laptop and link to RB and cdj's so you get an address, It will be a 169.xxx.xxx.xxx address, then on the mac go to system prefs then network, click on "Ethernet" on the left hand side, copy the ip address and subnet (255.255.0.0), change the "configure ip" from "using dhcp" to Manual and put those numbers in and hit apply.
this will not effect the wireless at all, just is just for the ethernet port. You will notice you will establish a link icon a lot faster now too being the laptop does not have to search for an address when the decks connect
you may also want to run all your tracks through a scan and repair type program to fix any corrupt files you may have that can cause these crashes
