how is the beat grid data sent from CDJ 2000 to the mixer? Over Ethernet cable or RCA?

Hey Guys,

Just wondering how is the beat grid data sent from CDJ 2000 to the mixer? Over Ethernet cable or RCA?

Thanks!

which mixer you have? if it's the DJM900, it's over ethernet and you enable quantize on the mixer

DJM2000…I guess it's the same. What about RMX1000?i heard it still gets the beat grid info over RCA. Correct me please if I'm incorrect.

Thanks!

I dont own the RMX but yes, it seems like it will quantize the effect based on the current bpm calculated automatically via the sound input

and the DJM200 looks like quantize was addd to a 2.01 update so make sure you have at least that version, current is 3.18

Thanks Brichi, for the help. So inconclusive the beat grid is sent over Ethernet cable. Right?

Beatgrid info is sent via Ethernet.
The RMX just has bpm counter built in, it does not receive beatgrid data...

The RMX has automatic (Quantized) BPM detection built right into it. Everything else is sent via ProDJ Link (ethernet).
