[SOLVED] Problem exporting wav data to USB
I can't tell you how many times I've tried to do a simple task and the program is far from user friendly. The latest problem is, I'm running Rekordbox on a Mac. I've imported all of my songs and analyzed them. I then tried to export them to a USB device that was freshly formatted to Fat32. All of the songs made it over but when I plug the USB stick into the CDJ-2000Nexus, none of the waveform or BPM information shows up. Additionally, I've gone into the preferences section and pointed the wave analysis location to the USB stick. Still, no go. This crappy software should just work. What am I doing wrong and why can't they simplify the process?

@Gavin Firstly, sorry for sounding rude... I had a few beers in me and was a little a agitated when I opened this thread.. Now that I've covered that I can proceed... I have my ITunes library pointed to my Dropbox account/folder. I used Rekordbox (Bridge window) to import my tracks from iTunes.
I will confess, I previously had my ITunes library and the Rekordbox app pointing to a different location (default iTunes folder). My problem didn't arise until I pointed everything to my Dropbox folder.
I've apparently resolved the issue using an unknown combination of workarounds. I deleted my playlist in Rekordbox and recreated it by synching with iTunes in Bridge mode. I re-analyzed all the songs and updated the tag information. Exported the contents to my USB thumb drive and all seems to have worked. I'm guessing something was pointing to the wrong location for my analysis file.
I take my previous comment back, RekordBox still sucks as I still can't see my wav data. I've changed the default path back to Library\Pioneer (Mac user) and I ran the "ls -s ...." command to sync with Dropbox (read the sticky article).. And nada! All my songs are analyzed, do I just need to somehow copy the "database" to the USB stick? Should the Pioneer be in the root folder of my USB stick or in the Contents folder? God I love this software.
not sure what laptop you are using but my macs default is different, you should try point it to
/users/username/library/pioneer/rekordbox
So after a few beers to calm my nerves I believe I found the problem. I changed the default folder for the wav analysis file to be my USB stick many moons ago. I thought this was the smart thing to do because I use a USB thumb drive to play the music back on my CDJ's. Something must have happened recently because all of my new music was getting copied/exported to my USB stick but the wav analysis info wasn't being copied to my USB stick (for the new songs). Soooo, what I did was point rekordbox to the default location for the wav analysis files, I then re-analyzed my entire music collection (it was painfully slow) and exported my collection to the USB thumb drive. That did the trick, lets just hope this doesn't happen again.
***Word to the wise, don't mess with the default path for the wav analysis file.
