Apologies if this has been asked on many occasions beforehand, but does Pioneer have any plans to raise the 10,000 tracks total within rekordbox. I'm currently over 9,800 and starting to get a bit anxious.

There is not a 10,000 track limit in RB, I have 27,000+ tracks so I know :)
The limit comes within the player, for instance the I know the Aero and the XDJ-R1 have the 10,000 track limit when creating the R1 library in RB for the specific controller

Apologies if I sound a bit naive here, but as a new user of the XDJ Aero, does this mean that I am limited to 10,000 tracks then, or is their a way of exceeding this total.

The 10,000 track limit on the Aero comes from when you use a USB drive as per the manual, However if you are linking your laptop to the Aero, there really shouldn't be a limit

I'm using an external HD plugged into the USB on my Sony Vaio, as the internal memory isn't big enough. The Sony Vaio is connected via wifi to the XDJ Aero.

So then I would assume you are fine, the manual only states the limit is when using usb devices.
