i have the same issue, any help ?
Rich
Hi there.
I've simply copied my entire music collection to a new folder on my mac. Now since Rekordbox links to the tracks. They're all missing now.
Without manually relocating each track one by one (I have a few thousand) is there anyway I could tell Rekordbox that "hey this is the new folder all the music is in" and have it link to the new folder?
I'd like to maintain all the information on the tracks like date added, ratings, etc. Instead of the obvious delete whole collection and reload from new folder location.
Your help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

solved : from a different thread
COPY everything from your old hard drive to your new hard drive, keeping the same folder structure.
Then on your old hard drive, move all of your music to a new folder so that rekordbox can no longer find it
Then open rekordbox and use the relocate missing files utility and all of your music should show up as being missing.
WITHOUT selecting any file in the list of missing files, click relocate and then navigate to the first file rekordbox asks for on your NEW hard drive (avoid using the search function so you don't accidentally select the same file on your old hard drive). Once you show rekordbox where the first file is, it will ask if you want to use the location of that file to relocate all of the other missing files. Click yes - I've found rekordbox is pretty good at doing this.
Nice! Excellent! Thank you so much for explaining that. So simple yet not completely obvious. I appreciate the help :) Cheers
Seems like it could work, but how does one click relocate WITHOUT selecting any file in the list of missing files?
The only way I get the option to Relocate, is if I select a file, and right click on it. For some reason, about 1/3 of my music library is missing the link to it all of a sudden (may have been caused by updating iTunes), which is a couple thousand files. Already gone through a couple hundred, but that took a few hours to do. Need to relocate the rest... Some how. Preferably a way that doesn't take another 30 hours.
Instead of clicking on a song individually, look at the top and click on "file" and select "display all missing files"
It'll come up with a massive list of missing music, from there follow the instructions Rich21 explains just above.
Hope it helps.
