Hey there!
First off: I don't have had any issues with the XDJ-R1 yet - the newest firmware seems good to me so far. Great job!
BUT I have some problems with the Rekordbox/Remotebox library browsing. I do several genres, different BPMs and try to do harmonic mixing whenever possible. The problem is: So far the categories (on both USB and iPad with Remotebox) are only Artist, Album, Track etc... The BPM filter can only look for a range of... 1 BPM... So the possibilities are very limited. I don't understand why you would not allow more categories. Maybe even user configured categories and also more than just one filter. Pretty much like doing Playlists, but live. So maybe setting the first Filter to a genre containing "EDM" or "DeepHouse" and than a filter for BPM let'z say in range between 120 and 110 BPM, and than a third filter looking for tracks only in c minor. I mean that would be useful at least. The current options for filtering are useful if someone wishes to hear a specific track, but that's about it. I never needed of all songs by a specific artist, or at 120BPM or even a list of all tracks beginning with "a"...
So my first question is: What are the chances of getting a system like that? My second question: If you don't want to provide such system: Could you PLEASE at least implement folders for playlists? On my PC-Version of Rekordbox I have my playlists sorted in folders: Eg: Folder "Genre", Folder "Key" etc... but when I plug it into the XDJ-R1 all i see is one huge list. That can't be hard to add. Even I learned how to do such programming at school.
Third question: Why do you only show the song name and artist in any list in remotebox? Again BPM, genre, etc would be much more useful very often. I hope to see at least one of these three options in an update soon, because there is just no way to know hundreds of songs with name, artist, genre, bpm, key, hot cue status, year of release, rating etc...
Cheers and thanks for leaving a quick "yes or no" :)
