[OPEN] using 1 hard drive on to 2 computers

Hi there, i have 2 questions, hope someone can answer them. 1=i want to put mu music on an ext hd and use this one hd on 2 computer(not at the same time ofcourse) running both same version of rekordbox with the same playlists. is that possible? 2=if it's possible(i guess it is) what happen when i make changes on 1 computer, say like make cue points/loops or edit taggs, does the other computer(when hd is plugged in) sees/recognize these changes???

Thanks in advance for the answers.......

  1. possible.

  2. the 2nd computer wont see the changes because the changes are stored in C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Roaming\Pioneer\rekordbox if you are using windows. So everytime you make a change on one computer you have to copy-paste this folder in to the 2nd one to see the changes.

Of course if you do something like that, i recommend only the use of usb3.0 because the wait times between a change or whatever, will be terrible..

Yeah, possible but messy. My question would be "Why?"

There are a couple of guides on how to use services like Dropbox to sync the library on two computers with one external HD as your music source.
