Hot Cues not working with Nexus CDJs

When I export a playlist to a USB Stick -- whether by the right-click export feature or drag & drop -- the tracks transfer and the hot cues appear to transfer. However, when I plug my USB into the Nexus 2000 CDJs and select a track, the hot cues appear on the video screen, but the hot cue buttons do not light up.

This seems to be a common problem, but unaddressed in the Rekordbox "documentation".

I recently decided to "upgrade" to Pioneer. Why implement software that does not simply drag and drop the information? No idea.

OS: Windows 7 64 bit; Rekordbox version 2.2.3 & 2.2.4; CDJs: 2000Nexus; SD Card: Fat 32; Multiple Partitions: No; Rekordbox does not crash.

@Brad > Did you enable auto-load of the hot cues within the preferences? If not, you need to manually load the hot cues by recalling them.

Yep. I ticked the box -- although it seems like that should be automatic. Maybe I just dont understand the Pioneer workflow. But all the hot cues are "lost" upon export.

I had the same problem with using usb's.  I gave up and connected through my laptop instead and the hot cues load with no issues.

Thanks for the info.

Unfortunately, the whole reason I bought the pioneer system was to go USB. If I bring my laptop, then I could just stay with my laptop and take back this $7K system.

I only use USB and all my hot cues, ABC, Load automatically

plug in the drive to your laptop, go to DEVICE in RB and make sure the "HOT CUE" clump is active and confirm you have check marks in all the boxes like in the pic I attached

BriChi,

Thanks!!  that was the issue. Is there a way  to tic all the boxes at once or do you have to go one by one?

you definitely can, highlight all the tracks ((CMD+A or CTRL+A) and then click on the info pane and tick the box that says "Allow to autoload hot cue on CDJ"

Depending on the amount of tracks it could take a few minutes

also go into the RB settings and select t"prepare hot cue auto load" so every new track you import automatically enables this feature on it

Thanks BriChi!

That did the trick. Why Rekordbox makes its secondary feature (the prime being beat analysis) dependent on a hidden check box escapes me, but at least I know where it is. Thanks for your help.
