Remote Box USB Browse menus on XDJ-R1......

Hello,

I'm after some help setting up my menus. any information would be greatly appreciated.

I use the "USB browse" via Remotebox on my iPhone or ipad. I set up my playlists on Rekordbox, transfer them to my portable HDD and plug the HDD in via USB. I can then use the Remotebox to browse the USB and playlists on there. My issue is the first menu available, at the bottom of the app screen shows "Artist, Album, Track, BPM, Playlist" It seems to be a similar theme once Im actually into the playlists menu. I want to edit these "menus" to maybe show, Genre, Keys etc. Is this possible?? its a silimar set up if I just use the USB browse and the functions on the XDJ-R without remotebox. I get the same menus. I've tried editing my playlists settings and sending them to the HDD again but nothing changes...

Thanks

Andrew Leighton

Anyone? I want to be able to browse my tracks by key/genre not bpm track etc. Seems daft that I cant organise these menus yet in the preferences/settings it says I can select the required menus. Once I've chose my required menus the settings do not transfer to my XDJ-R1.

Totally agree, Remotebox is a very poor App for the R1, Pioneer has focused way too much on the touch screen effects (which I don't use anyway) and completely forgotten about what the Remotebox program should be used for, for all I care they can ditch the effects menu on it, and give me a browsing screen to which I can display my Bpm's, Key and Taglist info alongside the track information, and as for not highlighting the already played info (like the Rekordbox menu does on the Aero) , don't get me started on that .....

It's just plain poor the whole thing if I'm honest. I wouldn't of bought a XDJ, if I realised the software both remotebox & rekordbox was so poorly finished. These are items which are the selling point of the system which both fail at the simple tasks such as this. The console behaves very well for me. It's a shame. No updates to improve these items appear on the horizon either.

You can't have key or tag sorting, it cripples the product. Pioneer should have qualified their marketing to say 'Partial Rekordbox Compatibility'.

The XDJ-R1 with Rekordbox and Remotebox. There is no way to sort by Key or Taglist, nor is there a way to display key, bpm and artist/title in a uniform structure.
