No Waveforms? 3.0.2 Broke Everything.

0) Have you read the "READ ME FIRST" thread in its entirety AND TRIED THE SOLUTIONS THERE before posting: Yes. None of them apply or they did not work.

1) Operating System: Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

2) OS Type: 64bit

3) rekordbox version: 3.0.2

4) Using LINK: Yes

4a) LINK Connection method: Ethernet CDJ2000 Nexus to CDJ2000 Nexus

4b) Using with CDJs: Yes, I don't know the firmware off the top of my head, but it is not a CDJ problem.

5) Hard drive / Flash drive / SD card file system: Fat32

5a) Does the device have multiple partitions: No

5b) If it's a flash drive, is it a U3 device: No

5c) With what utility did you format the device: Windows

6) Have you scanned your files for errors: Yes

7) Have you scanned your drive for errors: Yes

8) Is rekordbox crashing at all: No

8b) If not crashing, are there any error messages: No

9) Are you able to repeat / reproduce the problem: Yes

9a) If yes, can you do it consistently: Yes

10) Does the problem occur with one specific song: No

11) Any other notes regarding your setup only: Just using rekordbox to grid my tracks properly.

12) Provide as much detail of the issue here: Updated from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2. Noticed that the scrolling waveforms disappeared. Now I have no way to check if beat grids are set correctly. Here is a picture:

In the picture is 3.0.1 after I uninstalled 3.0.2 (which was having the same exact problem). As you can see, the bar that used to have scrolling wave forms is now completely black. I can't use ANY copy of rekordbox now. When I click and drag, it still produces sound as if I am scrubbing through the song, but there is no visual display anymore. It's just completely gone. This is borderline infuriating as I cannot ensure the integrity of the beatgrids of my tracks now. Please help me ASAP I have gigs to play.

Uhmm, you dragged the file into the player or you just clicked on the play button on the track? (OK, this is probably idiotic...)

Have you tried to re-analyze your songs again? Sometimes they just need that...

I double click the track which should load it into the deck so I can search through the track and set cue points and evaluate the beat grid. That's what it used to be able to do.

Now, when I load the track, I see nothing. It is all black, but I can still search through the track by click and dragging (proving that it has loaded) but there are no visual graphics. Just a black box.

Reanalyzing does not fix the problem. I tried that first.

Ok, try the following: Go to the taskbar, search for the "Volume" icon. Right click and select "Playback devices". Click on your active playback device (marked by a green check-symbol). Go to "Advanced" and set your sample rate to 48000 Hz (or to 41000 Hz if it is not working). This should solve it.

I'm not sure how changing the sample rate would affect the graphical waveform display from working again. I want to restate: my wave form display does not work anymore. It used to be moving waveforms so that I can set beat grids and cue points, but it is now a BLACK BAR with NO MOVING WAVE FORMS.

Also it wouldn't matter if my playback devices are set at a certain sample rate. I have a Steinberg UR22, and it has one setting only which cannot be changed.

I am just trying to help, I had a similar issue and that one with the sample rate worked for me.
