[SOLVED] Rekordbox3 export error

Hi,

When Rekordbox3 came out, just to make sure I kept the latest Rekordbox2 around. Good thing I did, because 3 didn't work for me.

When I tried to sync with my device, whether it be a USB-stick or an SD-card, the export quit at 3-4%. I then kept getting an error message saying "EXPORT An error occurred while exporting". Thus I kept using Rekordbox2.

A week ago I upgraded my Mavericks OSX to Yosemite. Since then my Rekordbox2 didn't work anymore. Suddenly every time I wanted to play a track from my iTunes bridge, it told me it couldn't find the track and that I had to localize the track by hand. Since I carry around 700 tracks at a time on my devices, localizing each track by hand was out of the question.

I then had to resort to Rekordbox3, but that one still gave me the same problem.

Now I'm stuck with having to bring my laptop around to each gig, together with a LAN-hub and LAN-cables. This puts my laptop at risk with each gig and I can't afford to have my laptop break down on me by having someone drop a drink on it or breaking it.

I don't know what to do. Please help!

Much love,

.D

I have had this happen and narrowed it down to a track not having the data analyzed

  1. go to the usb drive area in RB and see what the last thatch that actually WAS exported is and then see what the next one should have been in the main collection, thats the easiest, fastest way

  2. if you can't, then select ALL the tracks on the main collection and re-analyze them all to confirm everything has a waveform and then format your usb drive and export again, maybe try 1 playlist at a time as a test to narrow down what song in what playlist may be causing the issue

this is where I miss 2.x also because at least that version showed you what tracks were currently being exported

I have had this same thing happen to me, I was only trying to export a small playlist so I used BriChi's option 2, this solved the issue. Very annoying that it does not tell you which track is the problem. Maybe a fix in 3.0.3 Pioneer? Or at least revert back to showing which track is currently being exported as per BriChi's comment.
