Dear all,

An official announcement to all the users who have had the problems reported in this thread:
The OpenGL issue which is observed only on specific Mac has been fixed in 3.3.0.
Please tick [Use high performance graphics] in [Preference] again and test if any issue still occurs.
If you still have the same issue, please let us know.

On behalf of engineers of Pioneer DJ, we sincerely appreciate all of your useful reports and information which made this update possible.

Thank you again for your kind cooperation.
Kind regards,
Keiko Iizuka

Dear Pulse,

Ive tried everything that is mentioned in the thread above regarding crashing before posting this thread, and still crashing when I play tracks on Rekordbox if i am analysing or importing it works fine. Only when I am playing.

Any suggestions ?

@Bachir

Is this on 3.0.3 or 3.1?

I'm holding off updating to 3.1 because I haven't encountered any problems 3.0.3.

I'm also on Yosemite.

Is there a way to disable the update manager window on opening rekordbox so I don't accidentally click start?

Its happening on both, but heres the thing when I play tracks on the simple player it doesn't crash. If I play the tracks on the wave form view which is what Rekordbox is all about it crashes. And I already seemed the help of Apple support and they said that the problem is from the Rekordbox, and the Pioneer guys are not answering my request.! so I am kinda stuck here.

@Barchir & @Jack > rekordbox engineers have replicated the issue. Please follow these steps:

From the “Go” menu in the Finder of Mac, select "Go to Folder...".

In the popup window, please type in “~/Library/Application Support/Pioneer/rekordbox” to open the folder and find “rekordbox3.settings”.

Control-click or right-click “rekordbox3.settings” then select “Open with” -> “Other...” and use TextEdit to open the file.

Find the following line in the settings file.

<VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="0"/>

Then, change the value from “0” to “1” as shown below.

<VALUE name="DisableOpenGL" val="1"/>

Close the file and restart rekordbox.

Please try this process to solve the crash problem, and reply with your results.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the reply, Foster. Pulse was kind of a dick. I am not one of the original posters but I have been having the same problem. I am running Rekordbox 3.1 on Yosemite. I made the corrections you suggested and I am still having the same problem. It crashes only when in full screen in the two player screen. The single player doesn't crash it in full screen or not from what I can tell.

So I just found out that RB crashes no matter what mode or screen size I'm in.

@Matt > Calling the moderators "kind of a dick" doesn't exactly net you support. @Bachir information requested, yet I'm still here providing assistance. Does that sound "dick-like" to you? Neither of you posted the details as requested from the support thread. The reason we ask for it is to gain additional information without needing to do the usual back-and-forth dance. If you'd like us to help, please copy/pasted the info from that linked thread.

@Matt > What filetypes are you using when the software freezes? Is rekordbox playing linked when the freeze occurs or is it internal playback?

@Matt, Hey my friend.

The only solution for you is to go back to the mountain lion and never up rage your system again.

Thats the only solution that worked for me.

I'm using 320kbps mp3s. Internal playback. Nothing linked.

@Matt > Is there one particular MP3 you're playing that causes it to crash repeatedly?

No. Just does it randomly as I'm preparing tracks. The only constant that I notice is the time. It's always about ten minutes after I start playing the first track. If i open RB and don't play any tracks it won't crash.

@Matt > Can you please open your finder, press Shift+Command+G and paste in this address: ~/library/Pioneer/rekordbox/Crashes

Attach any crash logs you find within.

Then go up one level to the rekordbox folder and attach your datafile.edb please.

Hey guys, did you have crash issues AFTER disabling the OpenGL setting? If not, please disable OpenGL then attempt a crash again and post the log please.
