I own a pair of 850's and I absolutely love them after coming from 800 MK2's about a year ago. I'm extremely organised within RB and love the whole concept. Certainly don't miss those cd folders and bags! But one feature RB is missing in relation to the 850's (and also the 350's) is USB connection to the player. I know the 900/2000's, and now the XDJ 1000 can all be linked via Ethernet with RekordBox, but I just feel that this same link concept could be implemented via a stable USB connection. I just feel after spending a couple thousand $$$, Pioneer aren't reaching the full potential on these players. I've tried Traktor in HID mode as I own a licensed copy, but it sucks. The CDJ is just a dummy, and the benefits are few and far between. Serato seems to integrate well via HID (lots of feedback on the CDJ display), but who wants to carry around a sound card??? So, wrapping up, a USB cable from each CDJ to my laptop, and then they could appear as linked players in RB and easily load, browse and play. Simple. Thank you for reading.
