New to rekordbox - Things Not Working!

Hi guys,

Recently upgraded to the modern era; swapping out the old CDJ-1000 MK3's to new CDJ-2000 nexus. Happy with the hardware, of course. However I am having some real problems with rekordbox and the transferring of data out of the software onto portable flash or HDD.

Let me describe the problems that I currently have and then talk about the steps.

  1. I cannot play tracks at all, ever, from Playlists. The playlists can be basic or intelligent in rekordbox. I get an error 'File is collapsed or unavailable.' The tracks appear in the playlists, but I canot play. I can play the tracks from the master library however.

  2. I get duplications of tracks, not all, but many of them in the CDJ Browse. There are no duplicates found in rekordbox, nor do any of the artist folders, under the 'Contents' folder on the HDD have any duplicates.

  3. My beat bar counters do not 'count down.' More than half of my tracks in rekordbox (only about 750) have CUE points and loops stored.

I run everything off Mac; iMac as main studio machine and a MacBook Air (soon to be upgraded to Pro Retina).

Okay, so here are all of the steps I have taken to resolve the above, to no avail:

  • Moved all rekordbox music to be on same HDD, ie copied iTunes library, as well as all folders for 'direct import' tracks onto the iMac HDD, and tried importing/bridging from there. Also did the same on the MacBook Air.
  • Have purchased multiple new storage devices, inc SanDisk 64GB flash, as well as WD Element 2TB Portable HDD. All have been formatted to Apple, MacOS Journaled type partitions. All HDD's have been tried with zero other data.
  • Downgraded versions of rekordbox from 2.2.4 to 2.2.3

After all of the above, and the combinations outcome from the lot of efforts, I still get these problems.

Can anyone help, comment, advise???

Thanks!

DD
