I'm having the same issue. Anyone?
Hey guys,
i'm running Rekordbox 3.1 on a Windows 8.1 PC. I read the thread "Read this thread before posting help".
Rekordbox won't recognize my USB, even though the PC does recognize it. Its a Survivor Stealth 64 GB. I formatted it to exFAT, because the thread mentioned above says: 5) Hard drive / Flash drive / SD card file system: FAT16 FAT32 NTFS HFS+ exFAT
I formatted the USB to NTFS as well and it still doesn't recognize it. This USB has worked with rekordbox 3.1 before, but after formatting it won't recognize it anymore. What can i do?
Thanks.

I'm having the same issue. Anyone?
according to CDJ documents, it supports ""FAT, FAT32, HFS+ """
it will definitely not work under NTFS
try using a format utility like HP's to format it FAT32 only, Not NTFS or exFAT
Yeah i did that, works now, but half of the space of a 64gb USB is wasted. that can't be right?
it also mentions in that link you are referring to the following
- You can't export your music
Do you have a FAT, FAT32 or HFS+ drive connected to your computer via USB? If so, it will appear under the Devices tab. Drag and drop your files from your collection to the device there. Devices connect by FireWire or Thunderbolt will not appear as expor devices.
so again, I don't believe exFAT would work
you need to use a format utility like "HP usb format utility" that will let you use FAT32 and the entire space. just formatting it fat32 on your pc by default will cause those bad results on space
the util is in this thread http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20125727-MP3-Tools-More-

HP USB Disk Storage Formatting Tool (Free)
For some reason or another, the built-in Windows formatting tool does a piss-poor job of formatting things in FAT32 (when it lets you). This HP tool is fantastic for any version of Windows to format flash drives and hard drives to FAT32. Always remember to double-format! Again, we're not sure why but we just know that it's important to format your drive not once but twice with this utility.
FAT32format (Free)
For users who have had an error using the HP tool above, try this utility by Ridgecrop Consultants. A couple of users have had success with it after being faced with error messages when connecting their USB drives to the CDJs.
Swiss Knife Premium (Trial / Pay)
It's free to try ... and format your drive, which is all you'll really need it for. It's a proven success for DJs who have had problems with the HP formatting utility above.
In order for drives to be read by the player, they must be in FAT16, FAT32 or HFS+ format. While ExFAT and NTFS drives can be used by rekordbox for import and export, they are not compatible with the players.
FAT32 does support partition sizes of up to 8TB.
