Basically I want to be able to plug my Rekordbox USB into my car stereo head unit and play back my tunes via selecting playlists etc...
WHY? Music comes out so fast these days its hard to find time to listen to all the latest stuff i buy, I spend up to 2hours a day driving... and its the best time to listen to tunes. My usb contains my entire collection (256GB) of AIFF's and Its portable and up to date with my DJ library.
So basically is their a head unit out their that can read Rekordbox converted usb's playlists, files, etc... just want something simple.. don't need all the bells and whistles etc... not going to be mixing on it lol!

Well, there are no car stereos that will read the rekordbox database but what you can do is browse the Contents folder of your USB device which would contain all of the audio files. They won't be laid out in a fantastic or convenient method (typically it's Contents\Artist\Album\Songs), but you'd at least be able to play them.
So I hate to revive a dead thread but I like this guys idea and where he was going with it as that Idea is what brought me here.
You should really mention to the people who can make it happen that it should happen because I can think of hundreds of people (big names and small) who would be completely interested in the ability to play a playlist or their collection on the go through a head unit in their car.
Separate note: The rekordbox software itself needs the ability to sort your music by genre as a sub TREE instead of a tab in the main window, that way when you want to sort by key or BPM you can choose to show only the genre you want instead of having to browse through everything.

Also going to add to this - I took my FAT32 16Gb USB stick into a shop last weekend, tried about 5 of the newest DAB/USB(Pioneer only) head units, and all of them said No Files - Imagine the tears in my eyes, lol.

You can do this - it puts everything into a hidden CONTENTS folder, but has no structure. If you un-hide the folder your car stereo may be able to view the content.

Pioneer, please give DJs the opportunity to browse their USB/rekordbox playlists on a Pioneer car stereo. I'd buy one immediately!
