Rekordbox 3 - Remove older version

I decided I only want to keep Rekordbox 3 and erase the older 2.2.4 version? What is the safest recommended way to delete the older version, without affecting the database?

Mac OS 10.9.3

Open the finder, go to Applications, find rekordbox 2.2.4 and drag it to the trash, empty the trash. Presto - the app is gone, your data remains.
