"archiving" physical files out of rekordbox / disk

This has been bugging me for a while and I've just been ignoring it but now the problem is getting pretty epic and I need to find a solution. Back in the CD days I would collect all of my music in folders by months.

2014_01, 2014_02, 2014_03.

At the end of the year I would condense all of the 2014 music into a single 2014 folder and I would archive about 70 - 75% of the music I had bought over the year. The 2014 folder would basically be a best of. Every year I go through and cull out the annual folders a little more until over time we're left with the pure classics in each folder.

With rekordbox I've taken a similar approach to organizing my music. I make a monthly purchase from the various mp3 sites and dump everything into a folder for the month. Usually about 20 - 25 new tracks. I then make a playlist for the month in rekordbox.

What is the best way to cull out these playlists AND move the files on the disk to an "archive / obsolete" folder?

The last time I reorganized my folders was in 2011. I have nice clean 2008, 9, 10, 11 folders and since then I have every single track I've bought with none of the crap stuff removed. It's starting to drive me crazy.

HELP!!!!

Sadly, there's no quick and easy way to move the files AND the playlist entries at the same time, in any software. Your best bet is to do the work directly at the file level itself, then simply remove any songs which show as "missing," then create a new "obsolete" playlist by importing that folder of archived files.
