Help moving rekordbox database

I did all my rekordbox work on a mac and it recently broke down and need to move my database to my win 8 computer i have. All i have is my saved .xml file and all the songs on a flashdrive with there correct saved loops and cue points. I looked at the guild about moving the database and that wont work because the user names are different. I wish i could just drag and drop all the songs on my flashdrive over to "my collection" on this new computer but im not able to. Im assuming the .xml dosent work because its from a mac and dosent know the file location of the songs? Im dealing with like 600 songs with saved info. Any ideas?

Moving between computers, the best way to do it would have been using the Export / Import process. As you don't have that saved, there is no easy way for you to migrate your database to the other operating system without a world of hassles. Do you no longer have access to the Mac hard drive / database at all?

@pulse I formated the mac before i shipped it for repairs :( is it possible when i get it back to set it up EXACTLY the same way it was in the first place, user name and directories and settings. Everything the same way and then importing the tracks and useing the xml i have? Should that apply the cue points and beatgrid info saved?

I thought xml was the way you backup but i guess not :( ill be sure and use the import/export beacuse after playing with that it makes much more sence to use. Now i know for future use.

Without the additional files, no, you will not be able to rebuild things exactly as they were. Sorry.

To be perfectly honest, your best bet would be to start again with everything on an EXTERNAL drive (keep the music collection AND the database on an external device), and make a backup of it.
