Mapping the Loop Recorder on the DDJ T1
I have finally decided to make the investment on Traktor Pro 2. I have downloaded/imported the tsi file and that all works fine. I have mapped out the loop recorder for the most part too. I can select the loop size, I have control of the wet/dry, I can record/overdub, play/stop, undo/redo, and delete perfectly. There are only two things I haven't been able to work out.
The first is the ability to select the source for the loop recorder. I don't even see an option unles I'm looking in the wrong area or if some how this isn't something I'm allowed to assign in the software.
The second is how to assign the loop recorder to the sample decks. I know the assignment in the Controller Manager is in the Sample Deck list. I wanted to add this to the Strip Search Bar while in the Function mode using shift. Can I do that by adding a second modifier to the existing functionality mapped to the Strip Search Bar that already exists in the tsi file? Also does anyone know where I can get a crash course in setting up modifiers.

Sorry I missed the original post -- first, the touch-strip can't be assigned to the sample decks (as a button control) because Traktor's controller editor will warn you "INAPPROPRIATE CONTROL" (or something to that effect). Because the type of data being sent to Traktor isn't what it's expecting (eg. a knob value increase vs. a straight button-push on/off for min/max value), it rejects it even if you and I know that it COULD be used within a range of parameters.
As for selecting the source, I haven't checked within the mapper to see if that function is available or where it lives, but poke around a bit and try Google to see if anything pops up.

I'm a bit confused by this Pulse.
The tsi file for the T1 let's me load and play samples via the needle search strip when in the function mode. I thought that was a button control. In the Contoller Manager under the Add In section under the Sample Deck there is an option Copy From Loop Recorder. What is the difference between that and loading from a deck?
As far as selecting the source, I don't think I can do it because there is no option for it within Traktor.
