Playing Sample Decks on DDJ-T1 Hardware

Is there anyway to map the t1 to play the sample decks individual without actually clicking on them with the mouse? I cant seem to get the hardware to do anything with the sample decks but scratch the sample playing.

@JR > Yes I believe you should be able to do this, but it will take away from other controls as you will have to re-map some of your buttons.

My suggestion would be to re-map the "Hot Cue" buttons if you do not use them much, and set them to play the current decks samples. So you will still have to switch decks in order to use them. I don't think you could program them to work universally across 2 decks at a time.

I believe there is also the ability to map them into the touch-strip but I haven't had a chance to mess around with it yet.

@Pav > With the latest version of Traktor you are warned that you can't use the touch strip for certain controls.

Thanks for the replies but I have yet to get this to work. I can load the sample in the deck but I can not choose which slot the sample goes in. Will only load into slot 1. And the main thing I want is to play the sample via the hardware..which I have pretty much tried everything I can think of to make it happen. What I want is to set the hot cues to play the sample slots and be able to select the slot it goes to

Yeah everything else works fine except for the sample deck. Everything is dead when I change the deck except the scratching after I click the sample to play it.

I had downloaded the tsi file when it first came out, but I didn't buy Traktor 2 for another couple of months. I had the same problem until i deleted the file and went back to the Pioneer site to download it again. It worked for me fine after that. In my case the tsi file on the site was a newer version. Your situation may be different, but it's worth trying to delete and reinstall the file.

Well I finally got the issue fixed. Sample decks load and play now. One thing I noticed afterwards is after changing the sample deck back to track deck the loading function is not working. Assuming this is something that can be changed but if not its not a major issue. Thanks for the help.
