DDJ t1 slider and knobs not syncing with traktor

Hello,

so i just picked up this DDJ T1, really like the equipment.

I am having trouble with getting traktor to recognize the right decks tempo slider, filter knob, and two of the 3 effects knobs. the button and everything else work. oddly these do not.

any help would be appreciated

So a small update i noticed while playing around....( the controller is still very usable, although id like to have full functionality)

it seems these functions are getting some signal from somewhere. Their values will float around randomly. always changing and never settling, as well i dont actually have to move any knobs or sliders for this too happen...

would this mean that it is a hardware issue and not some sort of software issue?

@Daniel > It could be a few things... what version (and version number) of Traktor are you running?  Did you run the hardware setup wizard?  Have you ever used MIDI devices before?  If so, do you have any of them connected?

Ive tested the device on both Traktor V1 (1.2.8)  and Traktor Pro V2 (2.0.3).

Yes i ran the setup wizard.

i have not used midi devices before but i and fairly confident when it comes to computer issues.

While testing last night, i tried to have the program "learn" the non-working commands.

While in learn mode and i move the various knobs/slider i do not get a response. So i believe the hardware might have an issue.

whats interesting though is that on occasion i will get a signal from these knobs/slider without me touching them. for example the filter % will change between 37%-42% back an forth even though i am not touching them.

I have also tested seperate usb cables.

Is there a way to reset the hardware?

@Daniel > Can you please use a MIDI monitoring application to verify if it's the hardware not performing as it should?

PC:  http://www.midiox.com/

Mac:  http://www.snoize.com/MIDIMonitor/

Do not have Traktor open when testing -- see if all of the knobs / buttons are sending signal (if you get too many extra timing messages, you can turn on the filtering).  Let me know how you make out with that or if you need help.

Ok so when i open the midi monitor

when i use those four controls i dont get anything.

What i am receiving is signals even when nothing is touched.

mainly

Bank Select

Bank Select ( fine)

and

Foot Control (coarse)

on both channel 2 and 4 dependent on whether deck B or C is selected on the unit itself.

@Daniel > You should contact your dealer re: a DOA exchange (depending on their policy) or Pioneer technical support as it sounds like there's a problem with the unit.
