DDJ - T1 problem with Traktor Pro 2

Hi,

my name is Victor Tsuji and I am from Brazil.

I just bought the Pioneer DDJ - T1 but the traktor is not working

properly. when I plug-in the usb cable, the software go crazy. All the knobs

and pitch control starts to shake on the screen. I already had Traktor Pro 1.2.7

and last night I up-graded the version to Traktor Pro 2 2.5 but still the same

problem. When the USB cable is not connnected, the Traktor works perfectly.

I already tried to uninstall/install the Traktor software several times but still the same.

problem as well. I sent an email to NI support service and they told me to contact Pioneer Support.

actually, I am getting tired cause I couldnt find any procedures neither information about this problem.
Best regards,

Victor Tsuji

@Victor > Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not sure why Traktor couldn't help but we'll do our best.

So you connect your T1 with a USB cable to your MacBook. Then you open up Traktor and the dials go mad instantly? Have you any access to the menu bar in Traktor?

Hi Gavin

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, only when i connect the usb cable the traktor go mad. I already checked the midi mapping on preferences and everything looks ok. I also tried to install the Traktor in a laptop PC with windows but the problem still the same. I don't know, but maybe coud be the controller usb port....

What do you think?

Can you download and install the MIDI Monitor?  When you run it (with Traktor closed and the T1 connected) it will show any activity.

Check your MIDI Sources list to see that only the DDJ-T1 is checked, other sources may be feeding data to the stream.

Are you using the supplied usb cable?  What other gear do you have plugged in?

I think your Problem could be a Faulty Settings.tsi.

Try to Rename the Settings Folder from Native Instruments (Normaly In Documents\Traktor xxx\ )

Just rename that folder to Traktor_backup and just run it again.

You have to Connect your DDJ first bevor u Start Traktor !!!
