Many retailers have already shipped to customers. It seems that Pioneer has allowed the bigger companies, like Sam Ash and others, to deliver to customers while my smaller, harder working vendor has to wait until November 1st.
It really is a shame.
Pioneer,
Are you allowing retailers to ship DDJ-SX's on 10/31 to those that pre-ordered so that they can receive them on 11/1 - launch day or did you only allow retailers to ship out on 11/1?

If you pre ordered the unit, you should be getting on the agreed delivery date. Shipping is in play at this point for dealers.
thanks for the feedback guys. I pre ordered mine from Musician Friends and paid a little extra for overnight delivery. I called them and they said it would ship to me this week but they didnt' give me a date. My best guess is that it will ship on 11/1 and will get it on Friday 11/2
So that's how you are explaining how Sam Ash and other vendors got units into the hands of customers 5 days early, some who walked into the store to purchase them. OK, thanks for the info.
@V J Justin Allen, I would say the early ship was fine, buit releasing them early not so much....IMO....
I think part of the issue is that over on the Serato forum it's documented that both Pioneer and Serato are issuing take-down orders against the very customers that have purchased this unit and received it...yet for the vendors that sold them it's business a usual.
I've used Pioneer gear for years and this rollout is not typical of how they usually operate. It's a shame that customers like myself and others are caught in the middle.
I should add that in a day it will be a mute point so I'll just file this under "things happen". :)
You're right, in my 9 years with Pioneer this is the first roll out of it;s kind, BUT that is based more on a new sw \frpm Serato thasn anything else. Everyone wants things quiet till release since DJ is new, I get that, but I see the issue with a customer who has an early buy.....
