Just received mine today, only because I nagged the online retailer. Great bit of kit.

FollowUK gimped on first shipments of DDJ SX ?
So anyone know what the deal is with the UK shipments of the DDJ-SX ? Most (if not all) online retailers are now showing mid November shipping to the UK customers and stating it's from the 'first UK batch' !!
I pre-ordered mine and am just about to call the supplier but would rather here it from the horses mouth. I'll be a bit disappointed if we have to wait 2-3 weeks more than most.
Looks a great unit though, and will be worth the wait I guess.......
On a side note, if the UK shipments are late/delayed how will this affect the chances of receiving one of the free Serato Video licenses ?

It is very good to see a comment from a Pioneer member of staff at last ! (even if it was to come and reprimand us). I do hope you can understand, Gavin, that me personally (and probably the others) were in no way trying to promote/berate our individual suppliers, rather, it is just an exchange of information as to who has what and where. Especially as we have received no official information on the subject in hand. We are all obviously hugely excited at the thought of laying our hands on the units but in this instance our excitement and energy is rapidly turning into frustration because of the lack of any straight answers.
Apparently from a Pioneer Sales manager in the UK, shipment isn't arriving in the UK till the 29th of November.
@Anthony > Nope, just a friendly reminder so I don't have to go editing your links - that's all!
I believe the information CalVic received to be true. The next shipment is expected towards the middle to end of the month.
I ordered a unit from one of Europe's biggest stores, based in Germany some 10 days ago. They told me that the first batch wasn't even completed in half. Now I have to wait for a month for the second batch to arrive and I don't even know if it will be completed at all.
So, Pioneer staff, I kindly ask you to show some respect for your customers (especially to those ahead in the line) and provide us with a decent explanation about what's going on. **There is nothing wrong with admitting to not having predicted the big demand for the unit in Europe or whatever the **true reason might be. It's all just about building some confidence in your customers.
Best regards,
Good Luck with that one Simeon they just don't seem to want to answer with straight definitive answer. It's all expected shipment dates, you never know santa claus might bring it to us
Hope at least they'll fix the left platter issue, otherwise I'll have to return it and never buy Pioneer again.
There is no platter issue -- the majority of the complaints come from those who have improperly adjusted the sensitivity.
@Simeon > Please understand that we are here, primarily, for general user errors and troubleshooting. While we do have access to 99% of the information we need from Pioneer, we don't normally encounter such issues like shipping shortages and the first time we hear of any issues are from the users here on the forums - these are global forums.
Yes, it is true there has been high demand for the units and it has already been pointed out above when the next shipment is expected.
@Choops > We give the most honest answers that are available to us. Shipment dates in business are always classed as 'expected' or 'target' shipment dates due to the huge number of variables that could impact the process.
Fair enough, Gavin. I am really curious if those "expected" time frames are valid for the rest of Europe and not just the UK. Thomann said 5th of December but I guess they aren't a priority retailer.
Anyway, it looks that Pioneer has raised the bar really high with the SX. Looks like an amazing piece of machinery, I'm glad to know there is no left platter issue anymore.
Pulse, is it many just a few units, i saw a video on youtube and also my contact at Guitar Center sent me a video too of their new floor model they just put out where the left platter doesnt work in vinyl mode no matter what they adjust the sensitivity to, Another friend of mine just asked me about this so i figured I would come see if there was anything on here about it,
**maybe** just a few bad units?
@BriChi - these guys are obviously treating their customers as if they were idiots. They just can't figure that the left platter issue has nothing to do with the sensitivity adjustment, as it has been explicitly pointed out in the videos on youtube and here NUMEROUS TIMES. OBVIOUSLY there are some idiots in this joke of a conversation, but it's not us for sure!
That guy on youtube even demonstrated various adjustments to the platter sensitivity knobs with no overall result.
Yeah, maybe there are just a few bad units, but it's no excuse for Pioneer completely denying the problem. This behaviour is now an industry standart, obviously. I really consider refunding my unit now. Very displeased of this totally unprofessional reaction. Who knows, maybe after-sale support will be even worse, lol.
Well guys, I can confirm I got my unit on Saturday morning!! I can also confirm I got the video plugin key, and no problems with the unit in any way!! Platters work fine, sound is excellent and response times etc are very very tight!! Love the unit, and I hope you all have the same experience when you get yours!! *very happy customer here!* :)
Not so good here!
Got broke fader and knobs after 7 days...
No parts available and also no units...
thinking about a traditional mixer again but cant buy pioneer at this point...
