[SOLVED] Over sensitive Jog wheels - Serato DJ - DDJ-S1

Hi, I would really like to try Serato DJ on my S1.

But the software is un-useable due to the sensitivity of the jog wheels.

I played for 2 hours and still cannot pull off a decent mix!

Its impossible to make a fine adjustment to lining up two songs as the slightest nudge on DJ seems equivalent to half a rotation of the wheel on Itch!

Am I missing some hidden away setting where this can be adjusted?

Looks like Pioneer support is as useful as their controllers.

Guess ill have to ask Santa for a different brand controller this year

Unfortunately, DDJ-S1 does not have a control to adjust sensitivity.

For your reference, the following description is included in the “Setup Screen” section of the Serato DJ manual.  Your issue might be related to this.

----------------

Virtual Deck Speed

You can change the Virtual Deck speed and as a result, the speed of the platters on your Serato DJ hardware or turntable, between 33RPM and 45RPM.

NOTE: Setting this to 45RPM will use more processing power and could increase the chance for audio dropouts on lower end machines.

If you want to adjust the latency, you need to do that on both Setato DJ and the driver of DDJ-S1.

Please see “Q10. How should I adjust the buffer size?” in the FAQ of DDJ-SX from the link below.

This FAQ is for DDJ-SX but the answer is the same.
