When I called , they told me it could take a couple of months . I called the store where i got my pioneer from and he sold me the adapter out of the demo box . Which was really nice of them
So, I went to the parts page for Pioneer, it said the power adapter for the SX was in stock. So I gave my money to Pioneer. When I checked the status of my order a couple days later, it showed that it was backordered.
I paid for expedited shipping as I needed the thing rather quickly. Any idea how long this might take? I placed my order on the 18th.
Short of that, what are the power requirements of the SX and what is the connector size in MM? I would rather use genuine parts, but I also would rather be able to use my controller.
Thanks!
David

Seems a bit absurd, no?
I have contacted every music shop in within 50 miles, nobody will sell me a power adapter.
This was an expensive piece of kit and Pioneer already has my money for the adapter their site currently says is in stock. http://parts.pioneerelectronics.com/model.asp?modelNum=DDJ-SX
How does their system only know it's backordered after you give them the kind of unreasonable amount of money for the adapter? I also paid for express shipping not knowing it was on back order.
Bad on you, Pioneer. Bad on you.
I have tried to call their customer service 3 days in a row to get an update on when I might expect this thing I paid for 2 day shipping on and 2 days the line was busy every time i tried to call, and 1 day I was put on hold for over an hour.
I emailed customer support and they flat out refused to give me the specifications (Amperage, Barrel Size) for the adapter so I can get a different one without busting the SX.
What the F is this all about? Is this how Pioneer does business?

Call up and cancel your order.
It's a 5V/3A adapter with a 5mm barrel (3mm interior) tip positive.
Sorry to hear about your experience, the power supply clearly isn't a commonly replaced item!
