The effects on the SX are post-cue, so unfortunately no, you can't preview them that way.

[SOLVED] DDJ SX EFFECT and pre listen
Hi
when turning effects on / off, the effect works through the speaker and head phones.
however when i am trying to prepare the nex track with effect loaded onto that track i cant hear it through the headphones even tho it is applied when i bring the track in???
is it not able to do this ?

that sucks any of the ddj range have this feature.
is it a featur on any of the hardware

The problem is due to the audio routing through the software and hardware; it's simply not possible to have the effects set for pre-cue listen as the are post-fader effects inserts. None of the controllers have this feature.

CDJs don't have the effects onboard; the DJMs do and the majority of their effects can be heard pre-fader.
