CDJ 2000 error theory ??

I've been using CDJ 2000 and DJM 2000 setup since September 2010 and have only ever had 2 problems with error codes.  My theory is that the cause was mains interference. Both times we were running power from the same circuit as the bar. I'm thinking that when fridges and coolers were switching on and off that this was causing a spike or noise on the mains and the players were picking up on this. The errors both happened in the same venue. Never had problems anywhere else. I'm going back to the venue soon and i'm going to use a main conditioner to see if this makes a difference.

To avoid any problem with sudden spikes in voltage or power outage, I always carry a 1000KV UPS (Uniterruptable Power supply). I have had instances before where someone would step on a power cable or maybe the place would have a spike in voltage with Amps which require heavy voltage specially the ones powering the subs so trust me guys, buy and carry a UPS. U can get them as they are conventionally used for desktops almost everywhere.

I always use one of those belkin 6 way surge protector for pc's - ive never seen an issue with power and i get my feed from over the bar with all chillers and pumps! Ive only ever seen the 8302 when my hard drive was going into power save mode - and once when i used a cheap sdhc class 4 card across the pro link to the other deck!

Unless your UPS has AVR (automatic voltage regulation), you may as well not be using one.  The voltage tolerances on a UPS are usually around 85V for the low and 145V on the high end for a 120V mains.  That's a significant amount of fluctuation which could still cause problems for electronics of any variety.  With AVR, the unit will regulate the voltage to a stable 120 (or 240), and if it can't regulate properly due to a drop or spike, it will flip to battery power.
