Hey ,
I have a 320 CBR mp3 file where the sound will have "crackles" in it when I play it on the cdj 2000...
I think it is something different then what is described in this tropic: http://forums.pioneerdj.com/entries/20243167-cdj2000-pops-and-crackles-when-playing-mp3-320kbps-files
I can't really describe the sound... It is the first time I hear this.
here is a sample:

In this sample I "locked" the sound:

Here is a screen made with Audacity of a part where you can clearly see that the sound has been transformed:

I do not know why the waveform is the opposite from the original.
Also , the "crackles" aren't random like in the other tropic i've mentioned.
As you can see on the screen they are in the beginning of a sound part, always on the same place.....but not in the entire song. Just the first minute or so.
Now I have tested some things using the latest firmware:
- The "crackles" aren't there when I Play the track with recordbox or any other music program on my PC.
The "crackles" will **disappear **when I import the track in Audacity and then just export it again without changes as a 320kbs mp3. The file size of the new created mp3 is exact the same as the original.
Using different usb's or Sd Cards doesn't make a difference.
If the song is exported with Recordbox or not , It doesn't make a difference.
Using link or no link doesn't make a difference
Getting the track from a few diffirent sources gave me one "good" version with no "crackles".
I hope you can do something with this info. If someone needs the file for further investigations... let me know.
Greetings
