Corsair Voyager gt 64gb usb 3.0 problems

I have a problem with a Corsair flash voyager gt 64gb.  Tried formatting fat32 from my pc and it did not work then I tried formatting it with my Mac and the same thing the usb red light light blinks on both of my CDJ 2000's and then it just blinks faster and nothing comes up.  I have another Corsair flash voyager gt 64gb which I have not opened yet was now planning on opening it since it does not work should I send it back?  My cdj2000's are 2 weeks old just want to make sure they work because if they dont I want to send them back before 30 days to get new ones.  Need some help. Any advice anyone.

Dream Treez.  Do you know if it matters which version.of rekordbox (1.5) and os you are using on CDJ2000's.  Will that even make a difference.  Also did you have to format your usb twice as fat32?  I guess I will open up the second voyager gt 64 and see if that works.  The strange thing is when I plug this usb into my computer everything shows up that is in there all the music files from rekordbox but it just wont read on my cdj's.

@Dj Raffi, I am using the voyager gt with latest version of rekord box and firmware. I have also used it with previous versions with no problems.

If you simple format it in fat32, you shouldnt have a problem. Try formating it in normal and not fast way,

or maybe use a different program than Windows or Mac os.

As Foster said, check if there is any hidden partition in your usb drive. (I can't remember if there was one)

Foster:  I changed my name from Raffi Shaboian to my dj name DJ Raffi S sorry if that caused some confusion.   That was also my post  .

I tried the normal slow way to format it and now I will try the fast way and see if that works.  What would be a different program than windows or mac os to format the drive?

@DJ Raffi > No problem with the name confusion, I just wanted to make sure I was talking to the same person, as I will continue to reply to your issue on this thread only.

You can use the Mac OS X Disk Utility tool, but if using Windows you should try a 3rd party program to wipe/reformat the drive. You should also follow the video I posted above from Pulse. Please make sure you watch the whole video and follow his steps before trying your USB device in the CDJ again. If the issue is a secret partition on the drive, or an included management app for the drive, you may have to go to the manufacturers website and download something to remove it from the drive.

As you mentioned in the other thread, when you get your hands on another USB device, please ensure the drive is formatted properly first, you export tracks to the drive in MP3, AAC, WAV, or AIFF format, and reply back with your results.

Thanks,

Foster

Foster: I will only be asking questions on this post I made. not the other 1 I responded too. sorry about that.  Anyway I bought a sandisc 16gb flash drive and loaded up a few songs from recordbox and it worked.  I actually formatted this one on my Mac.  It seems like there might be a problem with voyager 64gb.  The only thing that seems weird about the voyager is it works for file sharing between computers but not on the cdj's.  I have notified corsair if there is a hidden partition but have not got a response yet.

Thank you,

DJ Raffi S

@DJ Raffi > No worries mate, we're all good. :) Well that's great news that the other flash drive works! I can't seem to find anything about a secret partition or software built in to the drive, but you should contact their technical support and they should be able to tell you for sure. I would call them if I were you because an e-mail or online response might take too long.

Let us know how it goes and when you have more info.

Thanks,

Foster

@DJ Raffi: I have the same problem with the Voyager 64 gb. My Voyager 32 gb is working well. Did you receive a response or find a solution for this problem? Thanks, Dennis.

Deaz D. I did get a response from Voyager they said it had no hidden partitiion or password or anything so I ended it up selling them to a friend.  I use the OCZ Rally 32gb and a patriot xt rage 32 gb they have worked fine so far.  I would like to get a 64gb flash drive at some point but I am not sure which one would work but  for no I will stick with these 32 gb drives.

@Deaz D & @DJ Raffi S > The CDJ-2000's recognize SDHC cards up to 32GB maximum. Therefore a larger card would not be recognized.

My apologies for not posting this sooner.

@Foster > That's fine for SD cards, but the drives mentioned are USB flash drives.  ;)

@Deaz D & @DJ Raffi S > Wow... my bad guys. Cancel my last post as it's not relevant to your issues. I said SD cards, you're using USB drives.
