have you formatted your hard drive?? is your collection analyzed through Rekordbox? are you building your playlists and folders through RB or just dragging it from iTunes or just straight from your computer. you need to provide a little more information.

Never have problem with my hardrive, until the pioneer unit has upgraded from 3.20 to 4.01 the last week. All playlist are "histories". All files are analyzed through RB. This happen only if the file is selected from a history, not from folder.

hmm thats odd. it might be an issue with your players. maybe because the player itself is putting a track into the history playlist. I assume you use Link either between the players or through a switch. maybe their could be a problem with the cables. That error has been reported a lot and the fix usually is to replace the LAN cables or check your connection and make sure your cables are a tight fix. Are you using the LAN cables that came with the 2000's? Those cables have been reported by many as garbage

The connection is usb, only in one player. Not use sharing. Sometimes the file play ok, sometimes not.

I wonder if maybe the file was removed?  If you are pulling it from the history, is it still on the drive itself?

Again: the file play fine if selected from folder. This only happen when selected from a playlist or history, and occur with all files in same playlist or history.

@DjDiego71 > Unfortunately you're using a 1TB drive and this could take a while... but I would suggest making sure you have the information on the USB device up to date in Rekordbox, then delete everything on your USB device through Rekordbox, and re-load the tracks/playlists on the device. It might not be a bad idea to completely wipe the device while you're at it just to be sure everything is clean, but that's only if you keep your Rekordbox data on the drive. Something may have occurred with the update, but it's mostly the file location within the "History" or "Playlist" has been altered in some way so it cannot locate your tracks.

Let me know if you want a bit more info before doing any of this because I want to make sure you have everything backed up and that it's not too much of a trouble to delete and re-load everything.

Thanks,

I'm not altered any file in hardrive, never delete anythig. Again: in the first step, when select the file from plyalist, it play, but for seconds... sometimes the file play correctly (next gig). Is a random error, not in same file anytime.

@DjDiego71 > The update could have had something to do with it, but I'm unsure.

When you use your USB device at different gigs, do you use the same CDJ's or do you use different CDJ's the location provides to you?

I also thought you said "This only happen when selected from a playlist or history" but in your last post you mentioned "when select the file from plyalist, it play"?

Is it just some playlists that do not work or am I not understanding correctly?

Thanks,

Its the same CDJ.

Otherwise, when i say "it play", sometimes play, but sometimes not. Its not an inconsistency from files locations. Same file play it selected from the playlist, next gig, not play.

I'm not shure about update firmware cause the problem, but may be another issues from playlist structure created in 3.2 firmware and next, accessed from same CDJ with 4.01 firmware?

@DjDiego71 > Thanks for clearing that up for me. That's add that it's hit and miss between gigs. I believe the E-8302 error refers to a missing file, or the file cannot be found. Basically either the file has been deleted or the directory has changed. But that's really odd that it works one time then the next time it doesn't.

It could very well have something to do with an update somewhere... Make sure you are always using the most recent software on all your products an devices to ensure fluent connectivity. I noticed you're CDJ's are back on 4.01? It might be best to update them to 4.05 and make sure Rekordbox is on 1.5.1.

Thanks,

The only time I ever get an E8302 error is if the player is trying to read a file that was changed in someway, but wasn't removed or changed from within Rekordbox.

Once I got to learn my players, I've had zero issues. I keep seeing people post stuff on the forums that are so quirky. Either I am lucky or they are doing something wrong. After a year, the CDJ 2000s rock.

@DJ Mike > Yupp, the E-8302 error when connected via LINK to Rekordbox is generated because the file cannot be located. Whether it has been removed or a letter/name change in the ID3 tag is the probably cause. :)

Thanks for your input and glad you like your players. :)

@DJDiego71 > do you use iTunes to organise your music (bridged with Rekordbox)? Do you convert files to Apple's proprietary format (.m4a)?

Files was organized & synchronized only once and never change or modifiy any file. Sometimes files play fine, sometimes not, if selected from history, or history converted to playlist. If selected from original location (folder) not issue happen.

And when you are importing from history are you sure the files are still on the drive?

Yes, because if play it selecting from location (folder), is still there and play fine.

@DjDiego > As I first mentioned, I think it's something with the database or files on the drive.

I think it might be best to click "File > Display All Missing Files" within Rekordbox, To ensure all of your tracks are available first. If not, please relocate the files that are missing. Then you should completely wipe and reformat your USB Device (ensure it's the proper format), and re-export your Rekordbox collection back onto the drive. This should hopefully clear up the problems you've been having with the device.

But the problem is intermittent. Some times happen with same file, some times not. I think is a data connection problem or something. I try some different cables, but same result.

And the problem some times was at the middle of the file, playing the first seconds or minutes, when prepare for cue.

@Diego > Have you tried using a different media source than the one you are using?

You should scan your problematic files with mp3val.
