CDJ-350 Jogwheel has to be moved at certain speed/length

There is a difference in the behavior of the jog on the 350 vs. the 2000; as an entry-level player, it's designed in such a way that you require a bit more speed / motion in order to get the same response that you would from any of the higher-model CDJs, such as the 2000, in a slower, shorter distance.  This is to compensate for the fact that the target audience of the 350 is more likely to overcompensate on the jog and move it further than need-be.

You might think it does nothing to the music, but the CDJ's are probably only being moved so little that the change in tempo isn't very noticeable. When nudging the platter on the CDJ it only changes the tempo of the track temporarily, and maybe you're not giving them enough of a nudge. Try moving the jog wheel a little more, and it's no problem to nudge past the beat sync since you can always go the opposite direction no matter how far you go one way.

I've never had any issues with all the CDJ's I've used in the past. The only issues I came across were my own human errors. ;)

@Pulse > Sorry Pulse, I was typing when you commented.

I've moved it slowly up to 2 full rotations and the music does not change at all, with both an ipod and cd I only noticed it when I got studio monitors and became able to tell if the beats arent PERFECTLY in line. I've found that the monitors have actually hurt my mixing a little because its made me too paranoid that its not beatmatched. Then I try and slowing move it a tad and it doesnt respond.

@Dj Daywalker > Try moving it a bit faster instead of little nudges that probably have barely any to no effect on the track. Don't be afraid to over compensate in one direction because you can easily fix it by nudging in the opposite direction. Just play around with it and keep practicing. :)
