Anyone using a portable SATA drive?

Because of the read/write speed - I'd like to know if anyone is using a portable Solid State SATA drive or the CDJ-2000.  How has your experience been with it? Can anyone recommend one to go with? Shit - I don't even know if they make them. But I would think it would be nice.

I use a combo drive that has FW800 and USB on it.  When I'm connected to my computer, I use FW800, but when exporting from Rekordbox to the drive or connecting to the CDJ, I'm connected via USB.  It's a SATA drive internally but that doesn't make a difference as USB and FW are both slower than SATA and IDE anyhow.

Yes, it works well, aslong as the SSD uses under 500mah power, then it will be fine.

Its an expensive option but does give you the fastest results!!

You need a internal SSD (maybe Kingston ... make sure its a 500mah model **not 1.0**) and a external housing Hard Disk Caddy.

I went with an Icybox (on Amazon) with a Firewire 800 connection, I just need a Thunderbolt Caddy next time for fastest resuls (via Mac).

But the USB 2.0 output works perfectly and there are no more lagging worries though I only have 128 GB of space, the method works well!
