re format the stick using the hp format tool and re extract and try again,

cdj 2000 firmware update
hi i have followed all the instructions as uploading the firmware to my cdj's 2000 but having no luck, I have downloaded and extracted the files to a newly formated usb in fat 32 format and set the cdjs into to correct mode as shown by holding reloop exit and usb while turning on, it does as it should and says insert usb, i do this and nothing happens like it should do ie should show the updating screen, any help would be appreciated

thanks for the reply pionix just tried this using hp format, and still getting the same results any idea's?

if it does the same thing on both cjds i would say try a different stick.
Make sure you have the files on the root of the stick and not in a folder on the stick.

many thanks pionix it was because the files where in a folder and not on the root of the stick cheers pal, ps have you got any good links where i can learn sum tricks witht the cdj 2000 and djm 900
