Hello dear forum-members,
is it possible, to format an external drive to exFAT? Does the CDJ900 those formated devices recognize ?!

Thx.
Hello,
it's an old thread, but i think, it would be an interessting feature-request to use USB-Sticks or SSDs formatted with NTFS or exFAT ;) What do you think ?
@WileC > It probably would be a little more convenient for the end user but not a whole lot. To support those partitions Pioneer would have to pay increased licensing fees to Microsoft which, in turn, would result in increased prices for Pioneer product users. FAT works just fine and on both Mac and PC.
Lack of exFAT / NTFS support is another big drawback of CDJs.
Telling customers to use 3rd party tool for formatting to FAT32 is NOT a solution.
If a $600 Numark NDX-900 can afford to get NTFS license from Microsoft, then it should be possible for Pioneers much more expensive products like $2000 CDJ-2000nxs(2).
It is necessary to use an open standard (ext3, ext4).
