@Marv > As a fellow Irishman I implore you not to purchase from the USA - its simply not worth the hassle if something goes wrong with the unit and you have to get it repaired / send it back. You will need to use a step up transformer as you will be using a 120v unit in a 220v area.

FollowCdj 900 US to UK Power Conversion
Looking at getting a pair of CDJ 900 during my visit to New York next month. I was wondering if I bring it back to Ireland with me will I be needing a step down transformer or just a change of plugs/adapter In other words do they have switchable voltage? I know warranty is not applicable when the decks go oversea.

Hi Gavin,
Thanks for ur response. I always try to buy a thing or two when I go to the US, last year was a mixer & I have a massive stepdown transformer for all my US products. I buy stuff in the UK & Ireland too.
@Marv > Too bad I didn't see this thread before I replied to you in the other thread. lol Please don't cross post in multiple threads. :)
I'm with @Gavin, it's best to purchase the units within your country of residence to ensure the warranty is upheld locally, and to avoid possible issues with the power conversion. Gavin also meant a Step-down transformer to convert 220v down to use a 120v product.
I wouldn't say this is a cross posting. As I asked a fellow Forum user a direct question in the other thread.
Anyways thanks for the response.
My bad, of course that should be 'STEP-DOWN'. Thanks Foster.
