A waste of a CDJ 2000

Maybe this is just me but is it a waste using 2 cdj 2000's and  control cds with traktor as your not getting the most from the deck? any advice on this one:)

Yeah... pretty much. If you're using control CDs you could could do the same thing with a pair of used CDJ 800s.... I guess it would be worth it if you were using the 2000s in HID mode.

i think that you have to be insane to pay 3000 e and use them as a midi controller. you can buy a good console with less than 1000.

I agree, A friend of mine bought them to control serato, waist of money IMO, If you are not going to use them as a standalone player or take advantage or RB, might as well get a cheap pair of 1000's and a $100 controller to trigger loops and cues

a dream thing for me (which probably will never hapend) is rekordbox integrated in traktor like itunes. i don't need advanced hid in traktor.

Depends on what you like the feel of (but there is really no need to use control CDs). Plus with Native Instruments recent announcements we'll all be using the same version of Traktor in the future.
