@Boris > Just how much, exactly, was the stage shaking? Yes, there would be a certain amount of buffer... Did you get an error code / USB light flashing etc? Are you sure it wasn't a loose cable perhaps?

FollowUSB has buffer? It is always jumping
Hello.
I had this situation now two times.
I played a DJ Gig last weekend. The table and also the CDJ´s were shaking because the sound was massive loud and a lot people were dancing near the DJ place.
I played a mix with CD´s and USB. With the CD´s i had no problems. But with the USB! It was the same situation like playing with Vinyl. The USB was sometimes jumping when the table was shaking to much.
Is there no buffer for USB?? It was not funny to play with USB!
I use "Kingston Data Traveler G3" 2.0 USB sticks.
I never have problems. Only when the stage is shaking.
Is there a solution?
Thanks

@Gavin > The stage was not shaking much. But yes, the red USB light was flashing all the time.
What does that mean?
@Boris > When I said the USB light flashing, I meant the actual light on the USB stick - that would mean the data is still being accessed (i.e. the player is still communicating correctly with the USB stick). Are you sure there weren't any loose cables? Did you get an error code?
never heard of this issue before.. could be a defect.. or did anyone else ever experienced this?
There certainly is a buffer with the USB -- if anything, I'd suspect that the USB drive was the problem. Have you had problems with that drive in the past? Or experienced any other issues with playing on that CDJ with or without additional vibration from dancing?
Did you stick in your USB good enough (Not half plugged in) so it could shake and loose contact?
