[SOLVED] what is the best DJ prog to use with cdj in HID

I own Traktor pro 2.5 and am experience a few issues (mainly the jogwheel stops working). Can't seem to get a clear picture as to where the fault lies, in the software or hardware but it doesn't seem like there's going to be a fix, ever. Regardless, are there any other programs that you know of that work well with the CDJs in HID mode?

HID mode is a no brainer, just wished it was actually reliable. cheers

The best one I have tried is VirtualDJ PRO (not a cracked one as you will have issues). The HID is amazing and you can change it to how you want. Plus you get free updates for life.

@lewes > in relation to the issues you are having with Traktor, are you using the CDJ350 soundcards or are you using the Audio6 soundcard?

@gavin- I'm using the CDJ350 soundcards. This problem is unrelated to my other post about "dragging jogwheel". Sorry for confusion. My problem with Traktor and my search for a better program is related to lack of HID support in Traktor., at least for the 350s. There are other threads about the 350s jogwheel problem as well as audio dropouts (which I have not encountered) while using Traktor. It's simply unreliable.

Its also fairly obvious, the conflict of interest for NI to support HID: If they "allowed" HID/MIDI to work correctly they would lose their demand for their timecode systems. There is no reason HID shouldn't completely replace timecode, at least on CDJ

@lewes > I agree about the HID support - with Serato, you HAVE to buy the SL box to get Scratch to work - the software is actually free.

Traktor certified gear by any manufacturer means NI get a cut - so its impossible for a manufacturer to certify everything.
