[CLOSED] Sound Problems with CDJ 350's, DJM 700 When using Traktor Pro 2

Hi Guys,

I'm attempting to get Traktor Pro 2 (Version 2.1.1) working smoothly with my cdj 350 (x 2) and DJM700, however, the sound problems arise instantly after I press play. The sound coming out of my speakers constantly cuts off or the sound is distorted crackly noise which usually cuts off over seconds.

I would like to know how I can resolve this.

  • Does my laptop meet the required specs to be able to run traktor?

I am using a Toshiba Satellite L450D Laptop with 4GB RAM, 64-Bit Operating System, AMD Athlon (tm) X2 Dual-core QL-65 2.10 GHz

  • Would the Native Instruments "Audio 6" resolve the sound problem?

I made the assumption that the cdj 350 soundcard audio interface would be enough to help run through my DJM700.

The mapping works fine and I have used the latest 350 tsi file. I haven't downloaded the latest firmware as yet but have got the latest driver. I have even tried using the asio4all driver to no avail.

Finally, I have tried playing about with the latency and buffer from 512, 1024 and 2048 with no luck.

I would be extremelt grateful if you could assist me with all this and point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Steve

@Steve > The latest version of Traktor Pro is 2.6 so the first port of call is updating the software.

Also ensure you have the firmware up to date on the players - you can find this information at pioneerdj.com/support

once again, @Gavin, you know what he's asking... CDJ-350s and Traktor do not work in HID/midi mode together. why do you continue to mislead people?

MIDI mode yes, HID mode no. As we've already said, HID is up to Traktor.

Hey guys,

I don't have a problem with the mapping and functioning of the 350's and Traktor when it comes to control. Rather, it's the sound cutting out after a second. I have the latet firmware and upgrade for Traktor 2.6. I have only ever managed to have the sound come out clear and working for 20 mins from one of my 350's. Again, I have them connected to my DJM. I have messed about with the latency and kept to 16 bit buffer. Is it the driver thats not right? I think I have the latest driver.

Could someone be kind enough to send me the set up and procedure to get the sound working...

Am I better off buying a half decent audio interface because I am unsure if the built in audio interfaces of the 350's actually work properly???

@Steve both jogwheels work correctly? all midi functionality works correctly? mind double checking haha? you would be the first ever with the 350s in midi mode.

you need to use the 350 soundcards. audio interface will do nothing.

I agree, the jogwheels don't work with midi functioning. I am struggling with the sound working so it seems a mountain to climb!!!

@lewes > I've no intention of deceiving anyone into using something that doesn't work, its not in my best interest nor in the company I represent. There have been some users that have come across issues setting up. If you comb through YouTube / Native forums etc you will see many users who use this set up.

@Gavin > I have tried adjusting the latency settings and usually by the advised scales of 512, 1024, 2048,  I have even tried the number options in between, and I have set it at 16 bit buffer as advised. I have tried the cdj asio, and asio4all drivers...

@Steve > I don't think there's an answer unless Pioneer come up with some solution on it.  I have the exact same problem and I searched most of the forums and they all have the same comment like changing the latency blah blah...

I just wish you a luck!
