[CLOSED] Problem with Traktor and cdj 850 - it's not working on my new computer.

Hello,

I want to connect my 2x cdj 850 to my notebook (windows 7 pro, 64bit).

Unfortunately it doesn't work (when I push the buttons, turn jog - there's no effect). I followed the official manual.

But when I play a track in Traktor, I can hear it (so it goes through the cdj)

What's more - it works with my old PC (32 bit windows 7).

My settings:

I obviously installer proper driver (pioneer asio) and imported cdj 850 TSI.

I also set midi (player 1: midi1, player 2: midi2).

Soft: 1.0.6

Regards,

Bartlomiej.

@Bartlomiej > What version of Traktor are you using? Have you updated to 2.6? Did you follow the Setup Wizard?

@Bartlomiej > It seems like you have all the Traktor audio settings correct. When you said you followed official manual, did you mean this one: http://pioneer.jp/support/download/dj-e/pdf/CDJ-850-TRAKTOR_En.pdf ?

I'd like you to start by updating your firmware and drivers that can be found here: http://pioneerdj.com/support/product.php?lang=en&p=CDJ-850&t=93

You can also find the most recent MIDI mapping file. I'd then ask you to start setting everything up again according to the manual above. Please report how you get on.

It's working on my old notebook, so I think I should reinstall windows on the new one (there's a lot of drivers, utilities that might interrupt).

could you tell me how can I set the jog sensitivity in Traktor? it's not as sensitive as when I play from HDD / CD.

@Bartlomiej > I'd advise to uninstall and then try re-installing the necessary drivers. Are you trying to map the mixer as well or just the CDJs?

When you say 'adjust jog sensitivity' do you mean the latency settings? If so, that is located in the audio preferences within Traktor.

Hi,

I have the same issue, audio output from 2 cdj 850 is fine, but no reaction at all when i press the buttons and jobwheel on both cdj 850.

my setting;

-traktor 2.6 (brought it during thanksgiving promotion)

-MacBook Air (10.8) aslo newly brought during thanksgiving

-2 cdjs 850 (already updated firmware 1.08)

I'm writing because i have been using  2 cdj 850s with traktor 2.5 in my old Macbook and it works flawlessly, so I'm pretty sure my setting should be flawless. so I'm suspect that maybe the compatibility between traktor 2.6 and the tsi?

btw the my traktor 2.6 is working fine with 2 cdm 2000 by HID advanced mode

thanks for the help in advance :)

@willhoho > Its likely the mapping needs to be updated and hence the issues you are having. Have you tried manually mapping the settings?

@Gavin > thanks for the reply,

1) sorry i don't understand the meaning of 'the mapping needs to be updated' because i downloaded the latest CDJ 850 TSI file then i've followed all the instruction. Therefore did you mean that pioneer need to update the TSI for tractor 2.6 or OSX 10.8?

2) I haven't tried manually mapping because i don't know how to do it, it would to be great if you can show me how to do manually mapping :)

Thanks a lot!!!

@willhoho > I'll see can we get another mapping ready soon that would address your issue.
