[SOLVED] Audio output stops (CDJ-900 with Traktor)

I´ve been using CDJ-900s to control and output sound from Traktor the last 4-5 months. I use two CDJs, DJM-900, Traktor Kontrol X1 and one powered USB hub to connect to my MB Pro. As you understand I use the CDJ`s for sound output. This setup has worked flawless, until yesterday. Everything was normal the first half hour, been playing about 10 tracks. I do the usual moves, stop the track i mixed out (CUE btn), loaded the next track (directly on the Mac), pressed play... To my surprise, no sound output. So i tried loading another track. Same issue. Next i tought of resetting the CDJ, so i did. *poff* All sound gone... Even on the playing CDJ. That feeling... Lots of people on the dancefloor and no sound! So I turn the right hand side CDJ back on, sound turns back on the playing CDJ (left). And I try playing a song in the headset, It works again.

This happens three times during my set. 1,5 hours. Only the right hand CDJ had this issue.

Today I set up everything just like yesterday, tried to duplicate the problem. I get the same problems. Tried changing the USB Hub, no help... Directly connected to the MAC, no Traktor controller this time. Same problem. Restarted Mac, same problem. Traktor is updated to latest version. Firmware on CDJ`s updated. Problem still occurs. And always on the same CDJ.

What to do?

Im about to go back to my old Xone 92 and external soundcard with turntables instead. Ive never had issues like this before. I need to trust the equipment, not worry about hangups and faulty CDJ´s.

Hi

I have the same setup, and i have had the same problem 2-3 times the last year, and all of the times i have forgotten to turn OFF the network controller on the mac. Not saying this is the cause, but i have not had this problem when the controller is off (remember to turn it of, then restart the mac)

@Kent-Ruben > We'll start by eliminating some of the extra stuff - can you set up your gear with JUST the CDJs connected to Traktor (nothing else, not the X1 or mixer)? What version of Traktor are you using?

I had a similar problem on a win7 laptop with Traktor 2.5. The solution was to reset the audio card settings in Traktor or reboot the CDJ. It seemed to a Traktor problem rather than an issue with the 900 so I stopped using Traktor

@Si > thanks for sharing that information. Did you since update to 2.6? Has this error occurred for you since?

@Gavin I sold Traktor once I got RB stable, it was more for back up seeing as I don't use CDs too often. BTW Now that 2.0.1 is stable I'm as happy as Larry (touch wood)
