Cdj 2000 CD drive spare part
Hello!
I got some bad news...
My cdj 2000 Mk1's cd drive is broken, and I'm out of warranty.
I have send my cdj to a repair center...
Now I hear back from them, and they want to charge me 340 € !!!!!!
What is the best ting I do ?? I don't want to pay such a ridiculous price...
Do I let them fix it , or can I order a replace part online??

it depends on what is broke, you could need either:
dwx2948 srva assy, which is the slot load in assembly or you could need the pickup assembly, which looks to be the laser assembly
either way, i would verify this with Pioneer being that I am obviously not a Pioneer tech, I am just going by a service manual

You know how it happened ???? I had my deck served to fix my PLAY led ( green ring)
I get the deck back, and the f*ing cd drive doesn't work anymore!!
The sad thing is I just ran out of warranty, I can't prove anything.

was going to get the green led fixed myself, but this now puts me off!
How much was it for a play button led replacement?

@TheOne, ugh, that sucks man, And I am sure the repair shop knew nothing about the cd drive and why it was broke, unreal
you can buy the board and replace it for like $40, its so easy to do. If you want to really save money and you are good at soldering, replaced the LED yourself, you can get like 20 of them for $3
