@steve > unless you have CDJ2000s, 4.2 is of no concern to you.

@Gavin, what Steve was sayiong though is if you click on the Nexus support, the first page shows the 4.2 update for the 2000mk1's, it's confusing, their should be something on that page saying "if you are looking for the nexus update, click the below FW link" or something

clicking the Nexus software link shows this:

Notification for CDJ-2000/CDJ-900 owners

New firmware for CDJ-2000/CDJ-900 is released to respond to the launch of CDJ-2000nexus.

Removed certain feature restrictions when connecting CDJ-2000nexus and CDJ-2000/CDJ-900 via LAN cable.

When accessing music libraries connected to a CDJ-2000 or CDJ-900 over LAN from a CDJ-2000nexus,

the data required for the following features to work on the CDJ-2000nexus is now transferred.

Download start date : 16 October, 2012

Download site : CDJ-2000

                  CDJ-900

Version information  : Ver. 4.20

Update content     : Eliminates feature restrictions when connecting CDJ-2000nexus and CDJ-2000/CDJ-900 via LAN

@Gavin - are you saying that the cause of thr freezing issue on my CDJ2000 mk 1's is not a firmware issue, rather an issue with Rekordbox . If so what is the issue and how long will it take to resolve? Many thanks

Did the update fix the issue where the automatic hot cue loading freeze up when you load a track? I would get an error it this feature was on.

Had a question in the RMX/EFX forums, that section of the forum feels abandoned, there's a few others with questions as well

Oh yes, I'm very very sorry. I'm not after forgetting about you - I just haven't been able to get to a computer since Friday. I'll be back to a computer tomorrow and you have my absolute promise I'll hit that subforum first. My apologies again.

I have been hammering away for an hour or so and they are good to go as far as freezing goes, no lockups at all. There are still a few tiny issues which I will report like emergency loops and slow return to playlists sometimes with very large libraries but again, night and day, LOVE the update!

Perfect! I loved my 2000s and I will definitely love the theese players.

Is there anybody other here that actually miss the button to loop 4 beats. You had it on the 2000 where you now can find the button called "loop mode" on the nexus players. Or is this just me? I used it a lot to set a loop very quick with tracks missing a good intro... Maybee I should just get better at actually hit the right point on the touch panel and the problem is solved...

theres still a 4 beat on the fly button, If you hod the "IN" loop for a second its and auto 4 beat loop, It's actually labeled now "IN/4BEAT"
