Firmware update CDJ 2000 stuck!!! HELP

ugh, this is a rough spot to be in, turning it off may corrupt the update but leaving it on is useless too obvious. I think the only option in my opinion (maybe wait for Pioneer reps to respond too being they know more), is to reboot back into fw update mode, try a different formatted usb drive and re-download a fresh copy of the update in case yours became corrupt

In the service manual if you get your hands on it is a way to factory force the update even if it fails :)

I guess I might have to get a hold of the service manual and try to do it that way if I don't hear from a Pioneer rep. Just hoping there is nothing more wrong as I don't think I could get it fixed quickly now. I though I should do the update now as earlier for some reason the deck kept giving a spinning wheel telling me to wait....

Not sure yet why it all happened still...But after trying it again with another download and usb stick I was able to update the OS and now works fine. Still strange though that it happened after a lot of use in the past month without any hick ups.

However there is a small issue now; after using the deck for an hour or so the menu's change without me doing anything to them...Taking it as maybe a bug in the new OS? No biggie as for the rest it all works fine (still have to sort the Vinyl mode issue out - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't).

Overall happy I can use it again as I need the decks every day:) Recently received the DJM-850 and HDJ-2000 and love em both!!

Hi Gavin, when I have pressed the Info button then after a while of using the deck it will just change to Browse or Menu. Sometimes it changes and stays there, other times it flicks back and forth. The deck continues playing and responding to what I do to it, just changes without me actually pressing those buttons.

@Steve > This is an unusual issue - I can only imagine its a by-product of the firmware update problem. I would advise you to contact an authorised service centre for repair / diagnosis.

You could also try updating the CDJ with the same firmware again and see if it has any effect (it may not even update again).
