Pioneer CDJ2000/nexus SD port speed

Hi, I'm going to order SD cards for my gigs and I know that the cards should be very fast. And here comes my question, what's the SD port max speed of CDJ 2000 and nexus? Because whats the point to buy super expensive cards with 90mb/ps transfer if the capability of the port is only 20mbps (hope you got my point)

I think to order Transcend SDHC Class 10 UHS-I (Ultimate) )16GB  , some opinions about it?

Thank you :)

the max read is around 20Mbps on the cdj2000/nexus sd port. The reason being is because that is more then enough to send 4 lossless music files to 4 different cdjs. Now why you would want faster is for writing reasons. a SD card that writes faster will save you time at the computer when transferring songs from rekordbox to your SD. How much time do want to spend sitting at your computer waiting for songs to transfer? That's what you should be asking yourself when deciding how much to spend on a SD card. Hope this helped :)

I used a SANDISK 128gb SDXC - used for 3 months, no major issues.

Though will need FAT 32 formatting.

DJccccc, do you use a 128GB SD Card on a cdj-2000 nexus? I thought 2000's only support 32GB sd cards?
I use a SanDisk Secure Digital Extreme PRO® 32GB, and i have no problems at all. The transfer speed from recordbox is the main reason i went for the Extreme pro card.

Ive used a 128 card on CDJ2000 & My own CDJ2000 NEXUS'S, used them since October, and have had no probs what so ever.

Thinking of buying another one, used it tonight and worked perfectly !

Aslong as they FAT 32 formatted - it seems fine.

I also thought for 3 years the 2000s were 32GB only, someone tested it and it worked so I took the plunge. The FAT 32 is the important bit , exFat does not work.

@Nikolay > The cards do not need to be very fast for read purposes on the CDJ.

32GB is the maximum officially supported size but cards above that size should also work. Remember, you will need to format the cards to FAT.
