CDJ 2000nexus "wait" and "loading" screen?

Nothing running in the background, but I've plugged everything into my home modem which probably isn't best. Just ordered a ethernet switch so will try that.

Join the party, it still happens with an ethernet switch. If's F'king awesome when it happens live several times during a set. Really gets you in the mood!

whatever is happening, I think Pioneer needs to have clear instructions on how to prevent this...  i.e settings in windows or mac etc... this line of "something must be interfering with the lan access" is getting a little old...  I frigan know that already... HOW DO I FIX IT...?   What Button or box do need to tick..?  and where do I fing that..?   I have the bast cables, switch and a brand new computer which does NOTHING but run rekord box...Its a DJ computer only.....

Come on Gavin and Pulse...  some real answers please... or at least some hints as to whats being done...

Most of the people on these forums are not idiots... we know how to setup configure most things DJ and computer wise.. 

I have searched for any and every setting I can find with regards to the network and LAN.. all makes NO difference.

I and i'm sure many others await your reply....

Well guys i have a different view on all of this... Yes there is a problem with the program. But all I have seen is the loading flashing for 2-4 sec tops and then the track loads. I have seen this maybe 6-8 times when using Rekord box linked to my gear. I am using a Macbook pro I7 loaded... It has not locked up on me. Not sure if its a PC thing? I dont play with it for hrs like this, I normally use USB. But I would like to have access to my whole collection. So just my 2 cents for Gavin to send back to the engineers.

FYI Rekordbox has a long way to go to before it can even compare to the other programs like Serato and or Traktor. I bought 2 CDJ NXS to replace my CDJ 900's but I use Serato so as of now I have reverted back to the control CD's. I have been using RekordBox at the house using a recommended/approved net gear switch and I haven't had any issues except the program isn't really that good. Also all the bad comments about it doesn't make me want to use it out live.

I have put music on a few thumb drives and used the players that way and the players seem to work great like that, but putting music on a thumb drive is great if you are just going to be paying a set or if you are some big name DJ that only has to play 1-5 hours and already knows what you are going to play because you have preprogrammed your set. Also for the record I do not believe in a preprogrammed set. I have been DJing for 23 years and I can say I never preprogrammed a whole show. That is the great thing about the digital age I can have all of my music and if I want to play something old that I normally don't play or I have forgot about.

I know you can put a lot of music on thumb drives but you are still limited. Also Pioneer is claiming to have created the ultimate industry standard CDJ but it can't even play video files and you would think Pioneer would have addressed this with RekordBox. The strange thing is RekordBox can play and analyze MP4 files but the CDJ's can't even play the audio portion of the file. This is where Serato beats all other DJ programs.

I am Serato user but I own Traktor as well and I am using RekordBox (@ the house only) and I still think Serato has most of them beat. Traktor is really good but it does lack video capability and really that is the only thing I think that keeps Traktor for being as good as Serato, though I will say the effects in Traktor are better but I am pretty old school and I really don't use to many effects if any. Also I don't need to play 4 songs sync at one time anyway, that seems a little much. Who remembers when DJ's played records and only mixed one record into the next with no effects or samples or sync buttons or waveforms and had the club rockin!

Though we have embraced technology which I think has made us all better DJ's, Pioneer ales great CD players and mixers but they have really dropped the ball on this one. Though not to be too bias Serato does have its own issues:)

I use 2011 15" MacBook Pro i7 with 8GB Ram
2 CDJ Nexus and a Rane Sixty-Eight mixer
With Serato and control CD's for now until Serato gets off their ass and updates the program to work in HID mode. If Serato can get the CDJ' Nexus to work in HID mode and actually show the waveforms on the players and be able to utilize all of the Nexus capabilities that combination will be sick!

it's crazy to see the different variations of problems from the same decks from people, I have been using RB for 3 years and yes it has some room for improvement but i never got to the point where i felt I could not use it live on a gig and I do 1-3, 4 hour gigs every weekend. I really hope Pioneer gets to the bottom of this for you guys.

Just so you know in case you wanted to compare, I am running the latest RB, Macbook pro 13" with latest OS and my tracks range from mostly mp3, 320k to AIFF and AAC. Also using a Linksys 5 port switch

@Chris... I have a whole Nexus setup. DJM 2000 Nexus, and CDJ 2000 Nexus. RMX1000 Macbook Pro 15" with Latest OS.

i just had similar issue but couldnt find any info closer than this topic

i had no problem since the last time i plug the usb and turned the cdjnxs on, today i added some playlists w rb and pluged the usb turned on the cdj, when its about to read the usb , round wait icon circles for a sec and device restarts, 

i tried hard reset, formatted usb, tried to update firmware, 

when i pres the firmware buttons and turn on the cdj, inserts the usb kinda message pops up and stays and underneath chineese version , other cdj only w english :D

help help goonna add a videosoon
